Scatter

The Scatter Project has evolved since its part in the Brisbane Curiocity festival. The project now has its own website which is managed by Dr John Ferguson

'Scatter' is a solar-powered installation, sonic composition, and artistic research project of John Ferguson, Erik Griswold, Paul Bardini, and Daniel Della-Bosca. Sound emanates from loudspeakers that hang from four-metre-high motorised rotors. By listening beneath and between each mechanism, visitors experience a unique sonic adventure.

The Installation is now complete for ‘Scatter"‘ which is a collaborative work, installed for the Curiocity festival in Brisbane. https://curiocitybrisbane.com/experiences/scatter/

It has been a pleasure to work on the project with John Ferguson and Erik Griswold from the Queensland Conservatorium and Paul Bardini from Queensland College of Art. My part of the project was to design and fabricate the speaker and Neopixel enclosures and importantly build and install them safely as they weigh 1.16 kilograms each and are spinning around above the audience.

The Curiocity festival runs until the 3rd of April.
